Assessment: Our proven system for gutter perfection includes a detailed assessment of your gutters. After your in-home estimate has been scheduled at your convenience, one of our certified gutter specialists will then assess your property and its current gutter system measurements and condition. This allows our team to fabricate a custom-tailored rainwater drainage solution, personalized towards your personal and property needs, desires, goals, and budget. Our specific experience with seamless gutters allows our experts to help maximize the efficiency of your gutter system while still being able to stay within your budget.

Choosing New Gutters: Our team will help you determine the appropriate size, material, color, and configuration based on your aforementioned preferences as well as your property’s specific architectural design. Gutter sizes generally include either a 5-inch or 6-inch width, with leader sizes generally corresponding to 2-inch by 3-inch and 3-inch by 4-inch, respectively. Size customizations are conceivable, such as 5-inch gutters accompanied by 3-inch by 4-inch leaders. Material selections include: aluminum, copper, galvanized steel, and galvalume. We do not install vinyl gutters. We offer a selection that includes a variety of over 20 different color options to choose from. As for the gutter configuration, we offer K-style and half-round gutters, both being assembled seamlessly. We will also discuss the inclusion of a gutter protection system, also known as gutter guards or covers, if your property is considered vulnerable to debris damage. We offer several different gutter protection options available based on your budget requirements, as well as the quantity and specific types of debris that surround your property.

Sending A Formal Propsosal: After the previous steps have been completed, our administrative team will send you a detailed estimate of everything that was discussed and described during your in-home estimate. This will include a list of all of the materials to be used, a written description of the procedures to be followed during the job, as well as pictures of your current rainwater drainage system with added drawings of possible changes to be made to facilitate functionality and/or enhance aesthetic curb appeal.

Here’s an overview of the Premier Replacement Process;

Removing Old Gutters: After your gutter replacement is scheduled at a day and time of your convenience, our highly experienced team of gutter installers begins by carefully removing the old gutter system while promoting safety and property preservation. After the original gutters are removed, we place them in our vehicles to be scraped and recycled. Afterward, we then assess the wood that will be supporting the new gutters, the fascia wood, to see if any excess damage or deterioration is present. If not addressed properly, this could lead to the premature failure of the new gutter system.

Installing New Gutters: Once the original gutters are removed and the fascia wood is deemed fully functional, the new gutters are then installed exactly as verbalized and documented in the proposal. We use screw brackets approximately every 18 inches to properly attach the gutters to the inspected fascia wood. We also include the installation of hangers, in addition to the screw brackets, if the fascia construction is not perfectly vertical, to properly secure the gutters. Other accessory components, such as downspouts, gutter guards, leader straps, outlets, corner miters, elbows, end caps, and any others, are then properly assembled to appropriately channel the water away from the basement and foundation, facilitating rainwater management.

Sealing And Testing: Although the gutters themselves are seamless, there are seams between the gutters and accessory components that will need the utilization of proper sealing and fastening techniques. This ensures a watertight and secure attachment to the structural property itself. We employ the use of an upgraded silicone sealant where necessary to prevent premature leakage years down the line. After all of which are completed, we then test the newly installed gutter system to ensure a smooth channeling and efficient water flow is apparent. This is done to confirm that all rainwater will be directed away from basements and foundations.

The process of gutter replacement is often undertaken when Long Island homeowners are looking to upgrade on efficiency or aesthetic curb appeal, as well as when existing gutters and unsalvageable with repairs. When choosing to replace gutters on a Long Island home, whether it be in Suffolk County or Nassau County, it’s vital to work with an experienced professional with extensive experience within specifically seamless gutters to ensure gutters are installed correctly and function effectively. It is also recommended, but not required, to select a gutter specialist whose primary niche of their trade is gutters. This is primarily due to the fact that properly installed and maintained gutters contribute to the overall well-being of your home by protecting it from water-related damage and preserving its structural integrity.
